“Who am I writing this blog for?”

I’ve been writing a blog on and off (more off than on) since I was 17 years old. My digital diary, where I would come and write about my unfiltered thoughts on life. In my many phases of life, I wrote about many a thing including my teenage angst and opinions on all things adulting. Ha! It’s a good thing those websites that hosted these blogs are now no longer in existence.

When I started Tangles & Teacups, it was suppose to be a “fashion blog”. Yes – can you imagine? If you’ve followed this page long enough, you might have seen some of my dearest sister and me peaking in fashion. Soon we realised that was a no go and I took on the mantle of being the writer at Tangles & Teacups and it became what it is today, my thought bubble – a journey of self-realisation and expression using words.

This year marks ten years of me writing this blog. Over the years, I have written about love, loss, learnings and lots more. I moved countries to build a home with my husband in Australia, I wrote about that journey too and seven years on when I go back to that blog, I realise how much of a learning curve life has had.

Then somewhere, I stopped writing long form content and moved to my Instagram page (plug in, yes indeed), this shift was not intentional but it felt like it.

A myriad of thoughts ran through my head. Did I have enough words in me to write a blog anymore? Or rather was anyone willing to read my long rattling thoughts? Did people have the time?
People barely read an Instagram post these days and would rather watch a video – so who was I writing this blog for?

“Who was I writing this blog for?”

That question right there, that was my problem statement. When I started writing, I did it for me – my 17yrs old brain did not understand the concept of others reading your blog… I wrote my unfiltered thoughts, full of typo’s because that is what brought me happiness. I chose to do it digitally and not in a diary and that was the only difference.

Well, 33yrs old Manasvi really got a life lesson from the 17yrs old Manasvi. “Who was I writing this blog for?” – It was for myself and continues to be for me.
On the way if I can get someone interested enough to read my blog, I will be indebted to them for giving two minutes of their precious time to me. Even if that is two people (my two lovely mothers are my constant supporters) it will make my day, as it always has.

If you have ever read my blogs/posts, thank you for your time ❤

I will continue to leave my thoughts on this page – hoping as I age, I can look back and smile at my thoughts and keep learning lessons from my own self.

Stay tangled ladies and gents.
