Hello World,
For the umpteenth time I have been gone to long. How have you all been?
I have been great. Life has been teaching its lessons and I have been a good student. However, there has been one small change – where once writing my thoughts came easy, I now feel conflicted about sharing my thoughts with others simply because we live in a very conflicted World.
Today though, I think I woke up on the other side of the bed. So here we are with another tale to tell!
Not too long ago (too long ago) I was writing about my first few weeks of living here – novice little Manasvi, so innocent and cute about her experiences – BOOM – I’ve lived here 4 YEARS!
From writing about finding the Indian broom in Sydney to actually being an obsessive cleaner. From being a sugar and hot chip eating 26 year old to a salad and green slime eating 30 year old. From being bleh about Indian food to dreaming about it every given chance. Friends, I have transformed into a semi-adult version of myself.
We have come far.
The story of Week 208 is that I am writing again and that is a joyous occasion – for me. Not going to bore you with the mundane details of my life but know this, you are the biggest love of your life and if you can live a life you aspired to as a kid, you are doing it well.
I’ll leave you with this thought, when I was in class 6 (or 5) we were given a school assignment to make a workbook about a place we liked/loved. Guess what I chose?! *ding ding ding* AUSTRALIA. I sat with my mum pasting images of Koalas and Kangaroos, writing long paragraphs about the (wild) life in Australia, sticking seashells bought from a shop in Pune and doing all the good things… not once as that 12 year old did I think I would be living here 14 years later making a life for myself.
Stay dreaming. Stay tangled.
Manasvi x
