Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening Ladies and Gentleman,
It’s been a while.
I have been gone from the writing scene for a bit and this gaping hole in my soul has brought me right back to the one thing that I love the most, writing.
Ever since I can remember, I have written my feelings and thoughts down to communicate with myself and with people around me. At the age of 19, I took this one step ahead and started a blog for myself by the name “Abstract Mind“. This took a lot of courage from my end because here I was this gawky teenager turning 20 soon about to share her thoughts with the World. Daunting. Abstract Mind was an apt name for my blog since I was always a bit abstract with my thoughts and that led me to create another entity called “Pandoras Dabba (Box)” for a broader audience, but I will be very honest, my confidence to share things with friends was very low because I thought ‘why would anyone want to read anything I write about?!’
Then came along 2014 when I decided to open the gates for a larger audience and let people in. Thus the inception of ‘Tangles & Teacups”. My best friend joined in and we decided it was our time to seize the day and take this places. A few months in we realised not every friendship needs to think exactly the same way and thus took on the reigns of Tangles. So, I began to write. I wrote about my feelings, I write about my thoughts, my life and my travels. What I did not expect was the amount of love I had coming my way. I cannot begin to describe the feeling when someone writes to me saying they relate to the content I put up, or how it has made them think or even made them laugh. It is indeed OUT OF THE WORLD!
4 years on, I sit here thinking about all the love I have received and all the questions I have been asked about why the blog is called “Tangles and Teacups”. It is all worth it.
So, even though I have been gone long and even though this blog now sits on my name the essence of Tangles will forever remain and the blog will ALWAYS be Tangles & Teacups.
