I’m polite, not stupid.

Has your politeness ever been mistaken for stupidity?
Have you ever been in a situation where you are treated like you know nothing compared to some “knowledgeable folks”?

If not, you go do better things with your time.

If you just nodded till your head hurt, read on…

Now, I am not an introvert or someone who doesn’t voice her opinions. I am very opinionated. Ask my family. But I am also a Libra star sign which makes me extremely diplomatic in general. I never choose, I always try and gauge what your mood is and then give you an input. Terrible? Yes, maybe, maybe not. This diplomacy combined with my forever dimpled smiley face makes me look a little too polite for my own good.

Now, I am no saint, but I am also not a person who will give you a pat reply when you say something to me. I restrain myself from saying something mean and that more often than not is mistaken for a weakness or sheer stupidity.
I envy people who come up with witty pat replies when someone is being mean to them or just plain rude. I wish I had that talent. The wit comes to me when all is done and dusted. Bummer.

COME ON MANASVI!!!

But hey, meany grinches, if people like me don’t give you a pat rude reply, doesn’t mean we are weak, we are just polite or a little overwhelmed by your not so pretty personality. Don’t think of us as a doormat. Doormats can get slippery, make you slip and fall on your massive bum/ego.

Be polite. Don’t be rude.

All you polite humans, stay the way you are but when the need arises, sling it right back at ’em!

And as always,
Stay Tangled. xx

  1. Totes. But then you have to question why someone feels they need to get one over on you. You with your dimpled smile, charmed life, beautiful family and easy intellect! Everything looks so easy for you. They don’t see your tangles OR the teacups. Not that they need to. They will continue to spread their ugly ‘wit’ until it’s seen by more than just you.
