The mister and I are now two years old!!! *WOHOOOOO*

I did a feature last year and spoke about being a “bride” and all the mushy stuff. This year things got real. Therefore, this year’s blog isn’t about how I became a bride and la-la, it’s more about how I am now a more evolved human. Really. No kidding.

Let’s rewind.

The first year of being married is a special time. You are excited about almost everything in life. It’s like you have this happy bunny serum inside your veins that makes you hop ALL THE TIME. The first festival, birthday, some insane day you have a vivid memory of and the anniversary. Oh my God. So much happening in that little brain of yours. Club that with all the exciting moments of being called a Mrs. Woah!

Year one of marriage is about “oh, you got married” <Insert Suprised Emoji> <Insert I’m So Happy For You Expression> . It is a time you are being congratulated all the time by a million people and almost every conversation ends with “you know that happened at my wedding”. Yes. All the unmarried people, I know we married ladies can be a PAIN. Showing you our photos, obviously by conspiring moments where it seems “natural” for us to AND always going on and on about being a “married woman”. PHEW!

Truth be told, I did all that. Well, I did more, but let’s leave that out for now.

Let’s jump to year two.

What has changed?

My weight for starters. The work to get that “beach bod” is underway. Someday soon.

Also, I chopped my hair, bro. AND I stopped dragging the eyeliner across my eyes like a panda. How amazing is that? A totally new person, yeah? Not really. I am still me and that is the best/worst part of it.

Year two for me/us has been more of a “married year”. We finally started living together and that in itself is a heeeeuge celebration. Update, I now know how to take care of the house better. I can iron a heap of clothes in a couple of hours watching my share of Netflix. I can cook better, edible food. I cook meals for dinner parties at home! WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT?! I even dream about cleaning up the house now. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad, but it’s a thing.

All said and done, in this second year, I am more accepting of the fact that I am a walking contradiction, a grumpasaurus and Mr. G’s weirdo. Should I be less of the grumpy pants, yes, work under process. A weirdo I shall remain for eternity and beyond and the fact that the Mister is accepting of that is my biggest win. Mush much? YAAS.

Going to end this one by saying, Mine. Always. Yours. ❤

On that note, I shall be going. Need to go be amazing. Ha!

Always stay tangled. xx
