I am reflection of my deeds. Love myself I do. Not everything, but I love the good as well as the bad. I love my crazy lifestyle, and I love my hard discipline. I love my freedom of speech and the way my eyes get dark when I’m tired. I love that I have learned to trust people with my heart, even if it will get broken. I am proud of everything that I am and will become.

Hello!
I am “that girl who keeps talking about tangles”, nice to make your acquaintance. I come from India, yes, we are a land of “snake charmers”, “chicken tikkas” and any other stereotype attached. No, I do not have an accent like Apu in Simpsons and sadly, my skin colour is not “exotic”. I tend to lean towards spicier things to eat and no my nose piercing has nothing to do with my religion.
Now that we have all that out of the way. How are we? All good in the hood?
With niceties done, let me get to the finer details of my post. I recently made the big move to not just another state but another country altogether. I now officially live in Sydney, Australia with my Mister. [A big shout out to the Mister, I would have been a lost goat without him!] Australia is no stranger to me, in the past year of being married I have traveled twice to this beautiful land down under and loved it.

So I am not really a “newbie” here. I know how to get around Sydney and man can I travel by that train or what. All thanks to the years of experience in the Delhi Metro. *Bless thee* And yet, I am the “new entry”. Oh well!
Initially, I had issues understanding what Australians were saying to me and discovered the good in lip reading and assuming what they were saying by understanding the context of the conversation. Let me give you an example;
Me: Hi, I’d like a Chicken Ham Sub please…
Aussie Subway lady: Hiya! …..what @yshdhsfbvfsahaa?
Me: I’d go for a Honey Oat Multigrain bread please.
Aussie Subway lady: Okay…….jhadhfwdgfdfdw….
Me: Yes, with cheese and toasted please. (FIST PUMPING!!)
So you see, I am a genius. Also, I know the Subway routine by heart so I just played along like an actor reading his/her part in the script. Having said that, I understand these people better now and I am hoping they understand me too. I do tend to speak slower here though in hopes of making them understand my words. Maybe at times I sound a tad bit retarded but you got to do what you got to do, right? Right.
Enunciation is key. (Even if it comes at a cost of sounding retarded).
Fast forward to right now, as I sit here typing all this my heart is beating like a monkey in a cage in anticipation of what is yet to come. And boy, there is a lot to come.

Keep a tab on my journey of surviving and possibly making a place for myself and you might just get to laugh your butts off. Oh wait, I am sure you will.
Until then stay tangled, will you?
xoxo
