New year. New beginnings. New everything.
That time of the year again when we all shed that skin of the old year like a snake and move on. Easier said than done, some would say but the dreamers know it to be true…
Dreamers are strange beings, aren’t they? Always living in that bubble of warmth and love, always looking for the happy things in life but overtly dramatic about everything.
I love New Years. The first day of the year is full of excitement for (almost) everyone and then come the heartfelt social media messages and phone calls talking about how life is going to be different and how age is catching up. Well, the “age is catching up” bit is absolutely and totally ignored by me of course, young as ever is how I will always put it.
Let’s focus on the resolutions. Oh, such fun. Over the years I have realised one thing though I am bad at abiding by rules and staying focused for a person with a flies attention span is difficult! Weird, right?
Hello, I am Quirky, nice to make your acquaintance.
Quirky goofs or dreamers as we call them, don’t have set patterns, they laugh too much and cry too much(sometimes together) question everything.We are all a little weird and goofy inside, but with just a nudge or push out comes the weirdness. That’s the life of a misfit.
So , my new year resolution is that of the last year, #YearOfTheQuirky. A celebration of being a dreamer. Why am I hash tagging it? a) Because. b) Social Media, yolo! c) I got the “quirkies”.
This year is about beginning again. Letting go. Trying new things. Eating new food. Travelling. Being healthy. Be kind. Smile broadly. And live. No drama (okay, maybe a little). Be thankful for the love. And work like a madman to make a mark in the World.
