The Valiant Soldiers | 18

On 18th September, 2o16 at 05:30 IST an Indian Army brigade was attacked by 4 armed militants or as the World calls them “Terrorists”. These terrorists who attacked these men were as they call themselves “Men of God” fighting for their right.

They set fire to tents where Soldiers lay sleeping dreaming of their future and families. Fire, while these men slept. Yes.

6 hours of furious gun battle later, these 4 militants were shot to death. Accomplishing their one aim, KILL.

18 soldiers lost their lives, many more injured.

Lance Naik Rajesh Kumar Yadav had a baby on its way. Unborn and unknown to him forever?

These Soldiers lay their lives in the name of the country. Regardless of their family, their financial condition, what would happen if they were to go away forever?

They died doing their duty because some idiots somewhere think it is “THE RIGHT” thing to kill people and take control of the situation. They died because these idiots thought setting FIRE to a tent of sleeping soldiers was very manly. Pardon my french but these men are fucked in the head. In the name of God or whatever freedom they are looking for.

But you know what, I am wasting my and your time talking about these nincompoops.

What is worthy of sharing is the sorrow and the bravery of these men and their families. Families that are ready to send their sons into the Army all over again! Can you imagine the kind of BALLS it takes? IMMENSE.

Also, for anyone wondering why I am doing this. I am an Army Officers daughter, whose father was a part of a furious siege in the insurgency area of Kashmir in the 90’s. 90’s!! It’s been over 20 years and this state is still an insurgency state. My father fought like a true soldier and survived, we were lucky. Many aren’t.

9 months ago we had the Pathankot Attack and last year it was the Manipur Attack and before that many other.

Unfortunately, there is no positive side to this. It just is what it is.

So, take a minute out of your busy life and say a little prayer for the well being of the families of these soldiers, for the souls of the soldiers we lost and the innumerable soldiers who continue to defend what is rightfully ours, selflessly.
