Hello pretties!
This one is going to be quick and simple for you all. We at Tangles and Teacups have had quite a few busy days gobbling up all those sweets this Diwali. The sugar rush has been insane but how can we forget to update you on what we wore!!? So here goes, a detailed version of our Diwali traditional choice of clothes.
1. Suit up: The festive season is fun, yes, but it can also be very hectic and if you are the kind who doesn’t like a lot of fuss, suit up! Its fuss free, its pretty and you can go with or without a dupatta. Neha here, has gone very “girl chic” with a lot of pink hints in her kurta and a plain hot pink chudidaar (lowers). The latkans or the tassels on the kurta add that bit of flair and raise it from simple to chic. The hair is very simple with a poof and side swept fringe teamed with silver earrings to tie the whole traditional look.

2. I’m Sari: Hahah.. we all like a joke now and then. But a sari is a great choice for you if you want to try something new. I went all out with a yellow Baluchari silk sari that has a beautiful fall to it. The blouse is a simple sleeveless low back affair. It’s important that you not mess up the sari so be careful there. The hair is side swept in waves to give it a retro look and then tucked into a donut side bun (tutorial coming up). I teamed the look with some long peacock earrings and voila you are done!
So that was us! You can apply these looks for any traditional do you need to attend. Be adventurous and go pretty up!
Stay Tangled! xx
